Light in hand, heavy on performance built to hunt trophy kingfish on big lures.

The MST 85-7+ is designed for anglers chasing serious kingfish with mid-to-heavy lures in the 40120g range. While its a powerful rod, the surprisingly light blank makes it easy to cast all day perfect for situations where fast reaction and repeated long-distance casting are needed to stay in the game.

Once hooked up, the rods moderate taper shifts the fight back toward the angler, making it easier to absorb powerful runs and load up through the hips even in tight spots near the rail. Whether youre launching stickbaits at bust-ups or working big pencils through bait schools, the 85-7+ gives you control, range, and stopping power in one highly refined package.

Previously known as the Aquila 85H+, this updated model carries over the same serious kingfish pedigree, now with refined blank characteristics and guide layout for even better balance and responsiveness.
